With more than 15 years of expertise encompassing mentorship, coaching, software development, process enhancement, and team leadership, I've discovered that my true happiness lies in collaborating with others in learning, driving improvement, and igniting meaningful change.

I proudly serve as Senior Director of Technology at IGT's Core Studio, a hub of innovation where we craft some of the world's top casino gaming content. I lead a dedicated team comprising over 50 software engineers, QA engineers, and technicians. My role extends beyond traditional leadership as I engage with leaders across the organization to foster collaboration, instigate process enhancements, and successfully execute large-scale projects. However, what brings me the greatest sense of accomplishment is the time invested in one-on-one career development sessions and facilitating the growth of groups of leaders as we collectively refine our skill sets.

Beyond my professional pursuits, I relish quality moments with my wonderful wife and daughter. As a family, we share a passion for the outdoors, embracing activities like snow skiing, camping, hiking, and water skiing. During those rare weekends when we find ourselves at home, you'll often find me in my workshop, where I indulge in tinkering, tackling repairs, performing vehicle maintenance, and bringing to life the myriad of ideas that constantly swirl in my mind.

I am from a humble corner of rural California, where my time was spent in various sports, including football, cross-country running, competitive ski racing, and track and field. It was during this period that I fostered my enduring love for the outdoors, often immersing myself in the serenity of fields and mountains. For work I took on roles ranging from landscaping and tree trimming to janitorial work, building maintenance, and even hauling hay.

I found extended education in Klamath Falls, Oregon, where I had the privilege of attending the amazing Oregon Institute of Technology. Here, I earned dual bachelor's degrees in Computer Engineering Technology and Software Engineering Technology. Throughout my university years, I continued to pursue my athletic interests, taking up cheerleading and indulging in amateur ultimate frisbee. Simultaneously, I juggled a diverse array of jobs, from equipment operation to merchandising, catering, and culinary pursuits.

My journey with IGT began as an engineering intern, where I cut my teeth on automated testing software. Upon graduation, I joined IGT on a full-time basis as a game development engineer. After a brief tenure, I transitioned into common code and library development within a platform engineering team. In due course, I circled back to game development, becoming a part of one of IGT's game studios. Here, I embarked on my first managerial role, leading the studio's tools and prototype team. My capabilities as a leader quickly improved, leading me to take on the Technical Art department. My journey of personal and professional growth continued as I assumed responsibility for overseeing all game engineering and quality assurance efforts for the game studio.

As I evolved as a leader, I discovered my true calling lay in helping others achieve their own professional success. This realization led me to refine my skills as a mentor and coach. In 2021, I embarked on a transformative journey by enrolling in a class at the prestigious Co-Active Training Institute. Since then, I've been unwaveringly committed to honing my craft as a Co-Active training coach, cherishing every opportunity to collaborate with talented professionals determined to make their next stride forward.
